Workshops, allegorical floats and masked parades for the Bagnoli 2018 Carnival in Naples!
Preparation has already started Carnevale di Bagnoli 2018, one of the various initiatives included in the project of the Social Carnival of Naples.
Like every year, the preparation of the event is aimed above all at those children who are part of the popular after-school in Naples. They will be engaged in workshops during which they will make some originals carnival masks and allegorical floats, also learning the art of painting and masonry.
The event will end with a great carnival parade on the streets of the neighborhood. The territorial theme of this year is "The Phlegraean Fires", taking up the proposal of the GRIDAS baptized "Mezzogiorno dei Fuochi", a metaphor of fire combined with the history of Bagnoli, also proposing new landscapes and an unprecedented vision of the city.
The initiative is a valid opportunity to recover the importance of manual creativity and the popular tradition of Carnival, learn how to use recyclable materials and take advantage of the masks as a function of social criticism.
