The Campano Amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere hosts "From the Arena to the Screen", a film festival under the stars with author films!
Santa Maria Capua Vetere is ready to welcome the great auteur cinema with "From the Arena to the Screen", the review that for five wednesday, 5 from July to August 2 2017, will embellish the summer ofSpartacus Arena of the Campano Amphitheater, the second largest amphitheater in the world after the Colosseum.
The review, directed by Francesco Massarelli, is conceived and organized by the Arthmos Association in collaboration with Amico Bio - Spartacus Arena and Radio Zar Zak and sponsored by the Municipality of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the Polo Museale della Campania and the Arte'm Consortium.
"From the Arena to the Screen" will start the July 5 2017 with "My Italy", a film in which Bruno Colella tells the stories of four international artists who have lived in Italy for years, namely the Polish sculptor Krzysztof Bednarski, the Danish video artist Thorsten Kirchhoff, the Malaysian performance artist HH Lim and the American painter Mark Kostabi. There will also be the opportunity to take advantage of the tables before, during and after the screenings "Arena Spartacus Amico Bio", il first organic restaurant in the world present in an archaeological site.
