Big party in Città della Scienza on Tuesday 4 March 2014, one year after the fire, to celebrate the reconstruction of the Science Center
Il 4 March it is a date that Naples will hardly forget. Last year on this day, during the night, one occurred terrible fire in Città della Scienza, the interactive scientific park of Bagnoli that was completely destroyed.
During this year the Science Center, managed by the Idis Foundation, really did its best to start over and to offer citizens, but especially children, the opportunity to visit its educational pavilions again, through workshops, events, exhibitions, play areas, conferences and seminars, and to be able to restore all possible activities, pending arrival funds to rebuild a city of science more beautiful than before.
That's why the next 4 March 2014 City of Science will reopen its doors to the public to be able to thank, one year after the fire, the precious contribution of citizenship and institutions but above all the signature of theFramework Program Agreement between national and local institutions and the Idis Foundation for the reconstruction of the Science Center.
64 MILLION FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF CITY OF SCIENCE
The agreement will be signed by the Minister for Territorial Cohesion Carlo Trigilia. The overall expenses for the reconstruction of Città della Scienza will be equal to 64 million euro. The costs will be divided as follows: 22 million and 500 thousand euros will be borne by the Idis Foundation, 15 million and 600 thousand euros for the Science Center, 4 million and 900 thousand euros for Corporea in addition to 2 million for the restoration of the minimum museum functions already realized. The largest expenses will be borne by the Region (over 34 million), while the remaining 8 million will be committed by the government: the Ministry of Scientific Research has made a commitment for 3 million, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for another 5 million.
The new City of Science will be more modern and beautiful than before, and will revalue the presence of the sea with a walk along the beach of Coroglio. The expiry of the works is scheduled for the 31 December 2016.
PARTY IN THE CITY OF SCIENCE ON MARCH 4, 2014
A real one will be held for the occasion party next Tuesday 4 March from 10 to 20 with the presence of workshops, educational activities, music and theater, opening the doors to all those who believed in it, but above all to artists, associations, companies, schools, organizations, consortia, scholars, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs, symbol of Naples that wants to move forward and always keep up with the news in every sector.
So there will be so manyevents, shows, exhibitions, screenings, workshops, conferences, which will be organized the 4 in March at Città della Scienza, or in the days immediately preceding and following this date, whose calendar is being prepared and for which we will keep you updated.
