Many free concerts on the waterfront of Naples for the 2014 Dock of SOunds in July. Among the names, Goran Bregovic, Peppe Barra, Youssou Ndour and Gragnaniello
The Neapolitan summer is enriched with events and it does so in correspondence with the entry into the heart of the Universal 2014 Forum of Cultures.
One of the most anticipated events of this international event is the Dock of Sounds 2014, an initiative that brings together the most beautiful sounds from all over the world, offering us the opportunity to listen to excellent music played and interpreted by world-famous artists.
The location will be the Lungomare di Napoli, precisely at the Rotonda Diaz, and the event will involve both the month of July and August with a series of free concerts.
The review is entirely curated by Igi De Rienzo, one of the most sensitive and talented Neapolitan artists, an excellent bass player active on the music scene since the 80s, who has also collaborated with great names in the musical environment.
Dock of Sounds will start on July 18 with the first free concert, which will feature the great Enzo Gragnaniello together with the Spanish musician El Cigala, an important flamenco interpreter. It will then continue until July 26 with the free live shows, while the complete program of the entire review is still being defined.
Evenings will be rich not only with good music, but also with committed and interesting personalities, such as the one that sees the Grammy Award winner as a guest Angelique Kidjo, the 21 July. Kidjo was born in Benin and is an activist fighting for women's rights, currently engaged in a polio awareness campaign. As well as Youssou N'Dour, Senegalese who has made his music an instrument of prayer and which on July 24 will involve the Senegalese community of Naples on the Lungomare. He also held the position of Minister of Culture of the Senegalese Government in 2012 and on July 24 his performance will be anticipated by the performance of the Neapolitan Giovanni Block.
