Itinerant theater on the background of beautiful locations of the Campi Flegrei with the Festival dei Volcani!
Until 26 September 2015, the theater will be the absolute protagonist in the Campi Flegrei, thanks to the first edition of Efestoval - Festival of the Vulcansi, the review conceived and directed by the playwright, director and actor Mimmo Borrelli.
The title of the event comes from the union of the name of the God Hephaestus with the word festival. Hephaestus is the Greek God of technique, fire, metallurgy, invention and engineering who, abandoned by everyone because he is deformed, becomes a skilled and tireless craftsman of the goldsmith's art. Soon isolated in the bowels of his volcano, he molds precious and elegant jewels for the other gods.
His figure metaphorically represents that of young Phlegraean piers who, endowed with ingenuity and willpower, await the right opportunity to give vent to their creativity, to that incandescent internal lava that wants to be forged.
The locations of the shows will be itinerant and unusual, such as disused factories, shipyards, iron and steel yards, lakes, the king's hunting reserve near the “Fusaro” area, ancient villas of settlers and landowners and schools. All places that have a story to tell and that have a glorious past.
The Festival was inaugurated by Mimmo Borrelli himself who will read "Napucalisse", a poetic song of poignant emotional intensity that has been considered blasphemous because Vesuvius is presented as a panacea capable of washing the ills of the city even at the cost of making a massacre of innocents.

9 and 10 September
“Capatosta - in the Ilva theater”. Gaetano Colella and Andrea Simonetti, will tell the story of the meeting in Ilva between a "historian" and wise worker and a young and inexperienced graduate in economics, hired in place of his father who died of cancer. Precisely for this reason the representation will take place at the Circolo dell'Ilva di Bagnoli.
September 13th
Mario Perrotta presents his revisited “Odyssey”. A monologue in which a young man of today is presented, a “contemporary Telamaco”, intolerant of people's prejudices. The scene will take place in the hangar of the Cantiere Navale Postiglione, where during the world wars they worked on the missiles and warheads of the Silurificio di Baia.
September 15th
Vincenzo Pirrotta stages a show with a Sicilian atmosphere, “N'gnanzoù - Stories of seas and fishermen”, set up on a platform in the center of Lake Miseno.
22 and 23 September
The Milanese company MOM stages its "WOW": wonderful odd world ", in the theatrical hall of the junior school Paolo di Tarso.
September 26th
Enzo Moscato presents his work “Patria Puttana”, in the location of the Vanvitelliano del Fusaro park.

- Monday 17 and 24 August, from 16,00 to 19,00;
- Saturday 22 and 29 August, from 10,00 to 13,00 and from 16,00 to 19,00;
- from 1 to 25 September, from Monday to Friday, from 10,00 to 13,00 and from 16,00 to 19,00 and Saturday from 10,00 to 13,00.
- During the days of the shows, the ticket office will be active at the place hosting the performance starting from 18,00.
