Here is all the useful information on the candidates and on how to vote for the 2020 Regional Elections in Campania!
Sunday 20 and Monday 21 September 2020 will take place at 2020 Regional elections which will affect 8 Italian regions, including Campania.
From 07:00 to 23:00 on Sunday and from 07:00 to 15:00 on Monday, the citizens of Campania are called to vote to elect what will be the future President of the Regional Council and the 50 members of the Regional Council.
The Regional Council
The Regional Council it is made up 50 advisors elected in their own constituencies of the 5 Campania provinces. Here's how they are broken down:
- 27 advisors for the Naples district
- 9 advisors for the Salerno district
- 8 advisors for the district of Caserta
- 4 advisors for the Avellino district
- 2 advisors for the district of Benevento
How to vote
All citizens wishing to cast their vote must go, on one of the two dates indicated, to their polling station with valid ballot paper and identification document. The vote for the President of the Executive and for the Regional Councilor will be made on the same card which is orange.
The card will be divided into two equal parts, in the left part i symbols of the lists linked to each candidate President, while on the right side all the President candidates. Also next to each list is one space where everyone can indicate their preference for candidates for regional councilors.
It will be possible to vote only for the candidate President by drawing a sign on the name, but the vote will not extend to any of the linked lists, if instead the voter draw a single mark on the card in favor of a list, then in this case the vote expressed will also be in favor of the candidate Chairman connected to it.
Voters will also be able to carry out the disjoint vote, or they can vote for a candidate for governor and a list that does not support him, and they can also indicate two preferences for counselors. In the latter case, a preference must be expressed for a male candidate and the second for a female candidate, under penalty of cancellation of the second preference.
