Guided tours for adults and children to the Royal Palace of Naples and the Archaeological Museum thanks to the Families at the Museum initiative.

Organized by Coopculture, le guided tours dedicated to the familyand in the main museums of Naples will start on Sunday 12 February and they will end the 28 May 2017.

It is a long series of events dedicated to young and old who want to bring children closer to art, culture and history and which include a program with WORKSHOPS, educational activities and role-playing games.
There will be events at the National archeologic museum, discovering the Egyptian civilization, to the Historic Apartment of Royal Palace and to Excavations of Cuma.

12 and 19 February, 19 March - Of Kings and Queens

Visit game for children from 6 to 12 years

It is a fun role-playing game in which a acute butler will have to accompany the King and Queen to visit the recently restored palace. The children, who will follow a special script, will interpret the two sovereigns and will have to test the butler about his knowledge of the history of the Palace and its treasures. The aim is to educate children to respect, care and protection of heritage.
Booking required, participation allowed until places are exhausted.

In the rooms of the Royal Palace of Naples, children will go in search of objects and details to solve a mystery about King Ferdinand. It will be a treasure hunt full of riddles to capture a thief who stole a precious object. In this way, the little ones will talk about the history and the masterpieces of the Royal Palace.

Friday 14 April, Saturday 15 April and Sunday 16 April - Music at the Palace

Visit and musical performance for everyone. We will visit the Queen's rooms with the musical performance of the Neapolitan Mandolin Academy. The comic opera by the masters Scarlatti, Pergolesi, Leo, Barbella Paisiello and Cimarosa will be performed with the mandolin.

Families will follow a archaeologist who will lead them to the discovery of Egyptian civilization, showing them the rich collection of the museum. At the end of the path, the children will play the game of the goose in which each box will depict images or details of the works observed just before.
Booking recommended, participation permitted until places are sold out.

The witty version of the event "A museum game ... Egypt" in which children will celebrate Carnival in masks.

March 12 and March 19 - AfFresco vs abstract

educational workshop for children 4 - 8 years

A workshop to help children and adults to use the techniques to create a fresco and to understand what the perceptions of the little ones are. For adults there will be a stuccoed tablet, while for children colored cards, scissors, crazed pastels, felt-tip pens. In the end, parents and children can exchange their works and compare them while having fun, and they will also take a guided tour of the Museum.

March 26, April 30 and May 28 - In… Canto

Starting from a selection of works and archaeological finds from the Museum's collection, the ancient musical world will be discovered through the evocative power of the voice and the transverse flute.

thematic itinerary for everyone
We will discover how a myth is born through stories, legends and fairy tales. Cuma is one of the places par excellence of myths and many legends will be told to understand the importance of this place, very famous for the Cumaean Sibyl, Apollo, Hera, Jupiter and the Giants. They are the protagonists of the journey accompanied by an archaeologist.
