Due to extraordinary maintenance work, the Chiaia Funicular will be closed until October 2015

The Chiaia Funicular reopens to the public at 12 12 October
La Chiaia Funicular will be closed for about two months, from the 14 August to the 2 October 2015, for extraordinary maintenance. The ANM has communicated that this public transport service will be suspended, in particular, for extraordinary maintenance work aimed at the technical adjustment of the plant.
In the meantime, for commuters and for those who need to use the Chaia Funicular, the 128 bus line with runs every 15/20 minutes, which will cover the entire route of the funicular, on the Parco Margherita - Via Scarlatti section.
On the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, on the other hand, the C16 Line. For all other passengers traveling from Vomero to Piazza Amedeo, we recommend the interchange at the Museo stop of the Metro 1 Line with the 2 Metro Line (Trenitalia).
ANM also added that a September, when school and work activities resume, until the reopening of the 2 October plant, all bus lines in service on the road route (near the Chiaia Funicular stations), they will be further enhanced.
We also point out that the Central and Montesanto funiculars will keep the exercise program unchanged in the summer period.
