To celebrate the 26th International Day of the Tourist Guide, various activities were organized with free guided tours
To celebrate the XXVI International Day of the Tourist Guide, from 20 to February 22 2015, in Campania various activities have been organized, with Free guided tours by Title Characters in search of a guide, with the aim of promoting and enhancing this indispensable professional role.
Tourist guides, initially called Cicero, carry out a profession recognized by the legislature already from the Kingdom of Italy. Their specialist knowledge gives them a role to play intermediary between art and tourists discovering the artistic, cultural and historical heritage of a place. The guide reveals the hidden secrets of art, of which we could only give a superficial aesthetic judgment.
In this weekend, in Campania as well as in Naples, we can choose between interesting ones artistic paths to follow, among monuments, museums, archaeological excavations, craft shops or opt for those gastronomic per scoprire l’arte culinaria locale e tradizionale. In più si potrà omaggiare l’arte di personaggi illustri che hanno arricchito la bellezza della nostra regione: Matilde Serao, Totò, Eduardo De Filippo, Massimo Troisi e Pino Daniele.
