Commemorative ceremonies, meetings with the authorities and cultural events for the 2016 Memorial Day in Naples!
From the 24 January 2016, for a whole week, the Municipality of Naples will organize a series of events on the occasion of the Holocaust Memorial Day, celebrated on January 27, which commemorates the tragedy of the Holocaust that occurred during the Second World War.
This year the important initiatives will be a way to fight against persecution and discrimination race, religion, political belief, cultural, philosophical, sexual orientation that occur every day in the world and that represent a threat and an insurmountable obstacle in the construction of a better society.
On the program there are cultural events and public meetings, in addition to the official celebrations which will be attended by the highest institutions of the city and to which many cultural bodies have joined. Among them, the Teatro di San Carlo, the National Library, the Valenzi Foundation, the Campanian Institute for the History of the Resistance, the French Institute, the Goethe Institut, the Oriental, the ANPI and numerous associations that collaborate with the Jewish community.
An event that will once again demonstrate thecivil and social commitment of Naples.
