Free guided tours in the Castles of Naples and the rest of Campania for the National 2018 Castles Days, with extraordinary openings of some fortresses.
Also this year we will be able to participate in National Castles Days with free guided tours in various castles of Napoli and Campania, some of which are normally closed to the public. The appointment is for weekend of 19 and 20 May 2018, days when some experts, especially architects, will lead us to the discovery of these historic fortresses.
In Naples you can visit the Castel dell'Ovo which offers themed events such as projections and photographic exhibitions on other castles in Naples. In the province, however, there are the suggestive walls of Sorrento not to be missed.
In the rest of Campania, the particular mention deserves a mention Castle of Montesarchio in Benevento, where there will also be a round table, and the Castle of Marzano Appio in Caserta, located on the summit of Terracorpo.

Castel dell'Ovo
Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May from 10.00 to 13.30
There will be video projections on the Castel dell'Ovo and on the other castles of Naples, there will also be photographic exhibitions on the castles of Campania.
Sorrento - Walls of Sorrento
Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May from 10.00 to 12.00
At 10.00 an architect will guide us to discover the walls of Sorrento, whose history is linked to a barbarous looting of the 1558 because of a slave who opened the doors.

Salerno - Castellabate Castle

Visit to the Castle built in 1123 to defend against Saracen attacks. It was transformed by the Aragonese and even today you can admire two imposing towers.
