The Archaeological Excavations of Pompeii reopen to the public
Finally the Archaeological Excavations of Pompeii and the Archaeological Museum of Stabia Libero D'Orsi are ready to welcome visitors back!
The Museum is closed in compliance with the anti-Covid provisions applied in the orange regions.

The long awaited opening day has finally been defined, starting on January 18 2021, The Archaeological excavations of Pompeii, Together with Archaeological Museum of Stabia Libero D'Orsi, at the Quisisana Palace, reopen their doors to the public.
Great news that not only the director of the archaeological site of Pompeii was waiting, but also everyone the Museums and places of culture of the Campania Region, which can finally proceed with normal activities, after the difficult period of forced closure.
Reopening of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii
The Archaeological park of Pompeii and the Stabia Museum will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, therefore closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The archaeological park of Pompeii will be open 09:00 am - 17:0 am0, with last admission at 15:30. The Museum of Stabia will instead be open from 09:00 to 17:00 with last admission at 16:00.
Entrance for visits to the excavations will be possible by passage of Piazza Anfiteatro and you can admire the Palestra grande, the exhibition Venustas. Grace and Beauty in Pompeii, the main domus, the Orto dei Fuggiaschi, the triangular forum and many other places.
How to buy tickets
Tickets to access the two sites, they will be purchasable exclusively online on site ticketone. During the purchase process you can choose your preferred entry time slot, scheduled every 15 minutes for a maximum of 500 people in turn until 13:00. Afterwards, the entrance will be allowed to a maximum of 300 people in turn.
The ticket must be shown at the entrance, via QRcode or printed and must be kept to show it later at the exit. Reservations can also be made on the same day, subject to availability.
Holders of the Pompei365 card will be guaranteed the recovery of the days corresponding to the closing days. Furthermore, the 50% discount on the purchase of the season ticket up to 28 February 2021.
Anti-Covid rules 19
At the entrance to visitors will be controlled body temperature via thermoscanner, stay the use of a mask is mandatory as an individual protection device, both indoors and outdoors.
Will be respected on social distancing thanks also to the installation of signs inside the Park. Present dispensers for sanitation and inputs will be quoted to guarantee a visit in complete safety.
