«Without my son maybe I… sorry… I would have gone to the other world many years ago. And I owe the rest of my life to him. He reciprocated in full. Sorry if I make this speech and talk about my son. I've never talked about it! He presented himself. He came from the mess tin, from nothing, under ... the chill of my theatrical habits ".

The great Eduardo De Filippo he described with these words, humble and heartfelt, the love for his son, Luca De Filippo, who died prematurely on November 27th, leaving his audience speechless and the Neapolitan and Italian theaters, who loved his works and his skill so much. With Luca De Filippo a huge part of Neapolitan theatrical tradition has gone away, but if the De Filippo had not been there, our culture and our art would have been deprived of a fundamental contribution. Without the De Filippo, perhaps, the Neapolitan theater, as we know and understand it, would never have existed.

But the theater must go on, as Luca himself was able to show us years ago, when his father Eduardo died while he was acting in the theater. He ended the show because he knew his father would do so. The show must go on, without interruption.

So here, selected for you, the best performances scheduled in the Neapolitan theaters for the month of December 2015, for the genre Prose, Opera and Ballet!
