The MANN and the Madre Museum in Naples illuminate the historic center with 60 works

The National Archaeological Museum of Naples together with the Madre Museum illuminate the historic center with the most beautiful works of art from their collections!

Starting from December 30, 2020 and until January 10, 2021 , every day from sunset until 22:00 pm, the MANN , that is the National Archaeological Museum of Naples together with the Madre Museum will give life to an evocative show, projecting on their entrance doors the images of their most beautiful works , there will be around 60.

This initiative was created to celebrate the agreement the two museums have signed. It is a three-year collaboration , and this year they will launch a special project focusing on the Mediterranean.

The new project will be presented to the public when the Museums reopen, which we remind you are closed due to anti-Covid 19 regulations. In the meantime, the two Museums are offering citizens a truly exciting show, also active a social media campaign with the logo Mann/Madre/2021/per l'arte.

60 works projected in the historic center of Naples

The historic center of Naples will be a riot of beauty and art thanks to the evocative initiative of the two museums, located approximately 800 meters apart. The most beautiful works from their collections will be projected onto their entrance doors.

Thus all the archaeological masterpieces of the MANN , such as the Farnese Bull, the Callipygian Venus and then the Battle of Issus, the Flora, the Mazzocchi Horse and others will enter into communication with the works of contemporary art kept in the Madre Museum.
