The most beautiful and cleanest sea in Campania for Legambiente and Touring Club

Every year, the Italian environmental association Legambiente and the association that deals with tourism promotion on the Italian territory, that is Touring Club Italiano, publish a special analysis entitled The most beautiful sea.

This analysis has the purpose of verifying the quality of the Italian seas and lakes and subsequently of assigning to the best a particular prize, that is The five sails. This award assigns a score ranging from 1 to 5 sails taking into consideration the purity of water, the quality of the environment, the presence of services and energy consumption.

For this year in Italy the five sails have been assigned to 18 tourist areas, and therefore also in Campania. Let's see what they are.

The associations Legambiente and Touring Club have assigned for 2021 5 sails to two tourist understandings of the Campania, and 2, 3 and 4 to other places. Here are what they are:

  • 5 sails in the ancient Cilento: Pollica, Acciaroli and Pioppi, Castellabate, San Mauro Cilento, Montecorice
  • 5 sails a Costa del mito: Marine protected area of ​​the infreschi and masseta coast - San Giovanni a Piro, Camerota, Centola- Palinuro, Pisciotta.
  • 4 sails to the Amalfi Coast and Capri Island: Anacapri- Capri- Positano- Cetara- Amalfi- Vietri sul mare- Praiano- Minori- Conca dei Marmi- Maiori.
  • 3 sails to the Sorrento Peninsula and AMP Punta Campanella: Massa Lubrense- Vico Equense- Sorrento- Meta, Sant'Agnello.
  • 3 sails in Costa di Elea: Ascea- Casal Velino
  • 3 sails in Costa Poseidonia: Paestum and Agropoli
  • 2 sails to the Gulf of Policastro: Sapri and Vibonati
