Just a few months ago, the City of Naples, had announced the planning of a new facility in parcheggio which should have hosted the direct buses to the nearby complex of the Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte, and the buses stopped after the descent of passengers in the areas of the center of Naples.
The car park would therefore have arisen in the area offormer Anm Garittone warehouse, belonging to the Municipality of Naples, right near the Capodimonte museum. Unfortunately, the municipal administration has made it known that the project will not go through and therefore the new car park will not be built.
Because the project was blocked
On 3 September 2022 the City Council approved a resolution with which it establishes projects worth 71,5 million euros. These are important works, namely:
- the complementary works of the Great Unesco historic center project;
- il restoration of the facades and the flooring of the Galleria Principe;
- la securing of the Scudillo hill;
- the redevelopment of the Vergini-Sanità project;
- the restoration of the former Cappucinelle convent;
- the reconstruction of some streets of the second Municipality
and many others. The Municipal Administration has also decided to allocate some funds to other projects established at a later time.
In fact, the 5,6 million euros previously earmarked for the extension of the 204 trolleybus line will instead be used on the Molo San Vincenzo promenade project, and the 3,1 million euros for the restyling of the Garittone they will be instead used for the reconstruction of some roads around the Real Bosco of Capodimonte and al lighting improvement of the gardens of Princess Jolanda.
