The art of theatrical improvisation returns to Naples in the third edition of Improteatro Festival, with seven unique and unmissable shows
26 from June to July 12 2015 Napoli will again be the capital oftheatrical improvisation, thanks to the third edition ofImproteatro Festival that will surprise, once again, the spectators of Campania in seven extraordinary locations. For a very original theatrical event in the name of interactive theater, where audience and actors will be engaged together in the creation of stories, actions and scenes represented.
Improteatro Festival is made by the association Improteatro, whose goal is to promote and disseminate the art of theatrical improvisation, in collaboration with the Neapolitan association Coffee Brecht (belonging to the national network Improteatro) and with the artistic direction of QFC Teatro, with the desire to bring to Naples and in Campania, places particularly conquered by this way of doing theater, the passionate and creative art of doing theater without a written text or reduced to the essential. In these performances the actors, or rather, the improvisers themselves become the authors of the show as it comes to life.
Five places in Naples which will be transformed into magical stages where theatrical action will come to life under the eyes of the public: lo Slash of via Bellini, le Stufe di Nerone in the Phlegrean area, the Sala Assoli in the heart of Naples, the Quartieri Spagnoli, the Tin (Teatro Instabile Naples), historic hall of Vico Fico Purgatory in Arco, and theHotel Caracciolo in via Carbonara, where the Gran Galà Impro will take place on the closing night. While in Campania the Improteatro Festival will arrive at Caffeine Eat by Marcianise (Caserta) and al 99Posti Theater of Avellino.
THEImproteatro Festival it will therefore be an opportunity to witness an innovative theatrical format that, at the same time, finds its roots in the Greek origins of the theater, when, to go on stage, a defined script was not necessary but creativity and fantasy of the actor, his spontaneity and his ability to interact with the spectators.
