Towards the total removal of architectural barriers on the beaches of Campania: the law to facilitate access for the disabled!

Il Regional Council of Campania approved one law to make beaches accessible to people with disabilities. This is certainly a great goal towards the total elimination of architectural barriers on the beaches of our region and a measure that will help many families to better enjoy the hot summers of Campania.

The news was given by the Region itself through its social channels, Facebook and Instagram, and certainly the law provides for a series of measures to make bathing establishments and free beaches accessible to all.

The Governor Vincenzo De Luca has communicated that funds will be allocated for this project and that numerous interventions will be put in place to achieve this goal.

The beach accessibility law

Therefore, the public areas intended for bathing will have to eliminate all physical barriers, communication e sensory and they will have to provide aids such as prams or beach chairs to ensure movement on the beaches. They will have to be equipped with removable structures such as locker rooms e accessible bathrooms, showers with grab bars and supports, raised beds, tactile paths to reach the sea, comfortable walkways to reach the shoreline and, of course, many indicazioni especially useful for those suffering from sensory and intellectual-relational disabilities.
