An evocative interactive videopercorso in ancient Naples thanks to the Oled eyeglass technology

Have you ever thought you could explore Naples by immersing yourself in the streets and in the stories of its evocative past? Despite the increasing number of guided tours and tourist routes leading citizens and tourists to discover the wonders of our city, only one, up to now, allows transport visitors back in time, thanks to increasingly sophisticated multimedia technologies to support the cultural and artistic wealth that Naples already possesses.

This is the IVI Project, Interactive Video Itineraries, conceived by Francesco Afro de Falco and Salvatore Forte, and which is based on a new model of guided tour for the city with the help of the new tecnology of Oled glasses. The project, unique in Italy, is already enjoying great success even among the Neapolitans themselves, enchanted by the charm of the Naples of the past, which it is now possible to live and explore.

The IVI Project, Interactive Video Itineraries

Il IVI Project, Interactive Video Itineraries, was created to offer alternative tourist routes to conventional ones, allowing citizens and visitors not only to discover the history and culture of Naples, but to experience them, transporting them in the past.

Thanks to OLED technology, the 3D video glasses that show virtual reality, the user can immerse themselves in the world of ancient Naples, among its characters and its streets. Some experts in historical and philosophical subjects will guide the visitor, alternating the "real" visit with the experience of Oled lenses, asking him to wear the appropriate glasses to view clips of films previously shot and processed by the video communication professionals headed by ASCI (AssociazioneScuoladiCinemaItaliana ).

Visitors will therefore be able to attend stories and episodes from the past lasting a maximum of 5 minutes reproduced in the oleographic lenses of the glasses, with costumed characters interpreted by actors who will interact directly with users and thus lead the viewer to the virtual discovery of particular places, events and little-known situations in the history of our city.

IVI Project, Interactive Video Itineraries Naples, Giordano Bruno

The video tour dedicated to Giordano Bruno

"Itineraries with Giordano Bruno the Neapolitan Renaissance and the secret Egyptian tradition", is the title of the first video-tour, which will make visitors known the three stages of the life of Giordano Bruno, including the moment of youth in the convent of S. Domenico Maggiore. The places of XNUMXth century Naples and its contact with the symbols connected to the Neapolitan esoteric environment of the period will be evoked.

Each videoport, which will last a total of about 70 minutes, will be interspersed with three moments in which users will use glasses for a maximum duration of 5 minutes on screen.

Le three stages of the visit:

  • Piazza S. Domenico Maggiore
  • Pontano Chapel and Piazzetta del Campanile della Pietrasanta
  • Piazzetta Nilo
