The Naples Central Funicular finally reopens to the public after a few days of closure!
After the inconveniences of the last few days, finally the Central Funicular of Naples has reopened to the public at 13.30 on Friday 15 April 2016.
The forecasts of ANM (Neapolitan Company Mobility) have been respected, in fact the official communications had announced that i jobs were tight and that efforts were being made to ensure opening by April 16.
Unfortunately the Central Funicular he had suffered damage that had made it necessary closing for a few days, just to allow the workers to carry out extraordinary maintenance. Thanks to the maintainers of the company and to workers from external companies, it was possible to solve the problem.
The damage concerned the winch of the funicular and the bearings had to be replaced.
