The ANM company has communicated bad news for the Mergellina Funicular a Napoli that will remain closed every Saturday and public holidays. The closures have already begun last Saturday, July 16, 2022, but the end date of this provision is not indicated.
Of course, the funicular will remain open on the other days, that is Monday to Friday, though only in the morning, from what we read in the notice. Therefore, even Sunday, as a public holiday, will not be active.
The reasons for the closure are not disclosed.
The new timetables of the Mergellina Funicular
It will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, while from Monday to Friday it will be open until 14:00 with these times:
- first ride at 07:00;
- last run at 14:10.
The replacement bus in the afternoon: timetables
To cover the Funicular route in the afternoon, after 14:00, the bus 621 on the Mergellina-Manzoni section. Precisely, he leaves from Mergellina stop 2140 and from Manzoni stop 2262.
It will be in service every day, from Monday to Sunday.
Its hours from Monday to Friday are:
- 14:00 - 14:54 - 15:34 - 16:14 - 17: 20 - 18:00 - 18:40 - 19:20 - 20:00
Instead, the hours of Saturday and Sunday are:
