On Wednesday 25 November 2020 the beautiful docufilm entitled Na thing Sola by the young Neapolitan director Giovanni Sorrentino competing in the section Italian Courts.
Na thing alone
The docufilm Na thing alone, competing at the Torino Film Festival will tell the stories and lives of some passengers waiting for the Circumvesuviana, the railway network that extends for about 142 km and serves the eastern and southern area of Naples.
The Neapolitan railway network is famous all over the world and the director's idea was born just as he himself was waiting at the station for the train that would take him home. And it is precisely in those 40, 50 minutes that Sorrentino he stopped to observe them all people who like him were waiting and so he decided to explore other stations, even the less known ones.
The docufilm will last 24 minutes and Sorrentino will tell about his journey through places dear to him such as Ponticelli station, but not only that, it will also tell the stories and travels of all those people in the world of the periphery.
