The Nutcracker, the most famous Christmas fairy tale in the world
The Nutcracker is a classic ballet composed of Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij between 1891 and 1892, based on the libretto by Marius Petipa and inspired by the story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann from 1816.
To date The Nutcracker is one of the most represented theatrical works in theaters all over the world during the Christmas holidays because it is the fairy tale told in this work takes place during Christmas Eve.
The story, danced strictly on two points, has as its protagonist the little Clara that receives, as a Christmas gift, a nutcracker shaped like a soldier. Thanks to the magic of Christmas the soldier, during the night, comes alive involving the little Clara in a fantastic dream where everything that surrounds her suddenly takes life.
Even the public is dragged into this incredible Christmas dream, including wonderful dances and the enchanting atmosphere of the Kingdom of Sweets, between snowflakes and flowers, meeting the King of the Mice and the Confetti Fairy and admiring the beautiful ballets and pas de deux accompanied from the most famous music of the classical repertoire of the end '800 as the Waltz of the Flowers, the Dance of the Confetti Fairy and the Dance of the Snowflakes.
