Il Virtual Archaeological Museum MAV of Herculaneum announced the new timetables valid for the month of August 2021, the period in which the facility will also be open on Wednesdays, generally considered to be closed.
In this way we can meet the needs of the public who are increasingly asking to visit museums and the MAV of Herculaneum is one of the most original in our territory precisely because it offers real interactive journeys in the history of Pompeii and Herculaneum and the excursus on Vesuvius and its most famous eruption.
The new schedules of the Herculaneum MAV
In August it will be open during the day Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10.00 to 17.30 (time of the last admission). Recall that the Thursday is scheduled to open in the evening, which remains unchanged from 18.30 to 22.30 (time of the last entry) and is the day in which you can experience the virtual path already mentioned among the wonders of the ancient residences of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabia. A journey that will take us to the first moments before the eruption of 79 AD that destroyed these places.
Reservation required
To be able to visit the MAV it is always need to book to allow the museum to regulate entrances and avoid gatherings. To book you must use the dedicated site of the MAV.
For the organized groups of up to 20 people the admission price is also discounted on the closing days of Monday and Tuesday, days in which the booked groups can access, always with compulsory reservation.
Entrance only with Green Pass
From 6 August it is mandatory to use the Green Pass also for admission to the Museums and all people aged 12 and over must show it at the entrance.
Recall that the Green Pass can be downloaded in various ways, also via the IO app e by contacting the pharmacy, always being careful of recognize the fake ones.
