Palazzo Zevallos in Naples hosts The Thousand Lights of New York: showcasing works by contemporary artists such as Warhol, Haring and Basquiat!
15 from September to November 5 2017 the highly anticipated arrives in Naples show The thousand lights of New York, set up in Palazzo Zevallos of Stigliano. The focus is on contemporary painting, and in particular on the 80s in the Big Apple.
Five protagonists artists: Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Basquiat, Julian Schnabel and Francesco Clemente. Unmissable opportunity for art and non-art lovers, who can admire works from private collections, usually inaccessible.
Other paintings come instead from the Mother Museum and from the Intesa San Paolo collection. The exhibition, curated by Luca Beatrice, also focuses on Neapolitan artistic reality, which in the 80s was in full swing and attracted great international artists.
Precisely at that time, in fact, Andy Warhol realizes masterpieces inspired by Naples, including the famous ones Vesuvius and Fate Presto series.
