The exhibition returns to Naples Returns 2013. Restored Art Treasures, an initiative curated and promoted by Banca Intesa Sanpaolo which consists of a program of restoration of masterpieces belonging to the Italian artistic heritage.

23 from March to July 9 2013 it will be possible to visit the exhibition in two prestigious Neapolitan locations: the Museum of Capodimonte and the Galleries of Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano (museum of Intesa Sanpaolo) but numerous treasures are also kept in other city locations, such as Church of the Santi Apostoli, the Diocesan Museum, the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro and the Chapel of the Treasury. Naples 2013 returns

They will be exposed to the public over 250 individual artifacts divided into 45 nuclei, works of art restored in the last two years by Intesa Sanpaolo and coming from churches, museums and archaeological sites throughout Italy. Among them some truly precious and sought-after “pieces”, such as the restoration of the Triptych with the stories of the Passion, a fifteenth-century alabaster artifact, at the Capodimonte Museum; the head of Medusa of Canova, a copper and bronze sculpture, at Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano, the Reliquary of the bust and Reliquary of the Saint of the Treasure of San Gennaro at the Chapel and the Treasure Museum of San Gennaro.

At the end of the exhibition, as every year, the works and artistic artefacts will return to their original locations, as the philosophy behind the "restitutions" dictates.
