Saturday October 10 2015 will be held theXI Contemporary Day, the event organized throughout Italy by AMACI, the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums for promote and disseminate modern and contemporary art. On this day I am open for free 26 Italian contemporary art museums, where artists and new ideas are presented through exhibitions, workshops, events and conferences.
Also Napoli, as every year, will participate in the 2015 Contemporary Day, opening to the public the doors of contemporary museums in the city in a rich calendar of appointments, events, guided tours and workshops to give an opportunity to experience contemporary art up close and personal.

Mother Family # 2 - The colors of Buren
Children and parents will be guided on a multisensory journey to discover the imagery of Daniel Buren, a French artist who with Axer / Désaxer. Work in situ, 2015, Madre, Naples - #2 presents the second of the two interventions commissioned, during the 2015, by the MADRE museum and closely connected to the first one As a child's play. During the visit the small participants will perform a color performance inspired by the polychrome kaleidoscope and the geometric shapes of the Axer / Désaxer in situ installation.

Guided tour with the director
A unique visit to the three new exhibitions with the guide of the museum director Andrea Viliani, which will lead the public to discover the new in situ installation created by Daniel Buren for the museum spaces, and then move on to DESIRED (in average res), the first solo exhibition in an Italian public institution dedicated to the British artist Mark Leckey, and conclude with The voice. Eugenio Viola, Mother's Curator-at-large, will guide visitors to the discovery of Axer / Désaxer. Work in situ, 2015, Madre, Naples - #2, the new work by Daniel Buren, and will accompany them among the works of To_form a collection, project in five chapters dedicated to the progressive constitution of the museum's permanent collection, which reconstructs the history and scenario of artistic avant-gardes in Naples and Campania.

Itinerant Performance of Sad Puddlers

Museo del Novecento
During the Giornano del Contemporano you can visit for free the Museo del Novecento, located on the terraces of Castel Sant'Elmo in San Martino. An opportunity to admire and learn about the works of art created by various artists in the city of Naples from 1910 to 1980, such as those of Futurism, Circumvisionists and Second Futurism, created by artists such as Enrico Baj, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Fortunato Depero, Vincenzo Gemito, Tommaso Marinetti, Mimmo Paladino, Gianni Pisani and Ernesto Tatafiore.
Smart District

even the Smart District, a place of urban regeneration located in Montesanto, participates in the XI Giornata del Contemporaneo with virtual collective action #QIEMOZIONI promoted by Apptripper, the app that acts as an emotional guide to works of art. On the occasion of this day that promotes art, the Intelligent District invites the public to take photos of works that arouse one of the 8 emotions (Wonder, Ecstasy, Love, Anger, Joy, Melancholy, Surprise, Fear) and to post through social media Instagram, Twitter and the Facebook page of the #QIEMOZIONI event, the work of art they are observing related to the emotion it arouses.
The images posted by the participants from all over Italy will be projected onto the big screen of the Smart District in the evening of the 10 October giving life to a great virtual collective action that will have art and emotions as protagonists.
