Three new contemporary art exhibitions at the Madre Museum which will be inaugurated by a free party with DJ sets!
Friday 9 October 2015, from 19 to 22, will be inaugurated new exhibitions of contemporary art al Mother Museum of Naples, the contemporary art museum located in Palazzo Donnaregina in via Settembrini.
The new exhibitions, scheduled until 2016, will be three and, to welcome them, the MADREload Party will be organized in the internal courtyard of the museum and in the cafeteria room of the famous Museum of Contemporary Art. a free party with DJ sets and audiovisual performances.

Entrance, ground floor
The new installation by the French artist Daniel Buren, dopo A child's play still open until February 29, 2016, it is created by Andrea Viliani, director of the Madre Museum, and Eugenio Viola, it is an incredible installation, a work of architectural dimensions, conceived in situ for the atrium of the Palazzo Donnaregina. In practice, the museum building, facing obliquely with respect to the street in front, is made to "rotate" by the artist's intervention to re-align itself with via Settembrini, creating a space in which the inside and the outside, that is the museum and its community interpenetrate one into the other, until they merge with each other. A work that represents a real public celebration of the relationship between the museum and its public.

Third floor, right wing
This is the first retrospective and first solo exhibition in a public institution dedicated to Mark Leckey, one of the most authoritative contemporary artists, curated by Elena Filipovic and Andrea Viliani.
The exhibition consists of a wide selection of works created through different means of expression used by Leckey (sculpture, installation, works and sound environments, performances and videos) set up in a unitary path conceived for the museum spaces as a progressive series of environments and to convey his vision of high culture and popular culture, physicality and virtuality, single and collectivity, copy and original, fear and desire. Between gigantic silhouettes of comic book characters, talking refrigerators, highway lights and videos and films in which the soundtrack of entire generations of spectators resounds.

Second courtyard
A work that falls within the scope of the project The greasy tree. Nourishment of art, curated by Achille Bonito Oliva. It is about a ladder which develops inside the room located in the second courtyard of the museum up to go beyond the roof, to expand into the external environment. Leaning on a luminous device, the voice emitted by an ampoule expands in a sonorous reverberation that flows into a point outside the room where the “Sonovasoro” is located.

Starting at 22 Will be held the inaugural party of the three new exhibitions set up by the Madre Museum with the musical performances of:
Giuseppe Santillo, Neapolitan photographer, vj and performer who explores alternative forms of visual communication through the use of new technologies.
Fabio Marengo, artist and DJ influenced by sounds that draw on an elegant electronic vein and prone to movement, both introspective and mental.
Luigi Prota, DJ and Neapolitan producer. Born and raised among musical instruments, Prota immediately became attached to the electronic machines that best enabled him to express his aptitude for a minimal deep dub sound of a techno or house matrix.
