The museums of Naples become social with the #MuseumWeek and with a thematic hashtag a day spread art and culture on Twitter!
The museums of Naples will participate in the #MuseumWeek which will take place from 19 to 25 June 2017, days during which the most important structures in the city will be connected even more on social networks with their fans.
Through 7 hashtag, one for each day of the week, will promote, especially on Twitter, its artistic and cultural heritage interacting with followers that will be able to know their collections even better.

Theme of the #MuseumWeek
The theme of this edition will be "Women and culture"To celebrate female art and support gender equality so that the hashtag that can be used every day, in addition to the daily ones, will be #WomenWM. Each museum will interpret the hashtags in a personal way and decide how to associate them with their works to make them known to the public.

Monday 19 June - #FoodMW
Museums will associate it with works of art particularly focused on food or even with some particularly tasty product that can be found at the bar of the structure.
Tuesday 20 June - #SportsMW
There are many paintings or sculptures dedicated to sport and some places of culture preserve particularly iconic works, such as the Corridors that are found in the National Archaeological Museum.
Wednesday 21 June - #MusicMW
Music is often present in works of art, whether it is a musical instrument represented in a painting or a portrait of a musician. Some works also feature important musical scores, as in the case of The musicians of Caravaggio al Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano. Recall that the 21 June is also the day of the European Music Festival.
Thursday 22 June - #StoriesMW
Thursday will be the day when the public will be most involved because they will be encouraged to use the hashtag to tell a particular story that binds them to a museum or a work of art. Museums, on the other hand, will be able to share particular tales not yet revealed, fables or narratives related to the collections.
Friday 23 June - #BooksMW
If there are important books in the museum collections, this will be the right day to find out. It will also be a way to understand which books may have inspired permanent or temporary collections or if the museum has a shop dedicated to the sale of particular books.
Saturday 24 June - #TravelsMW
The journey is fundamental for the formation of museum collections and we will be able to discover what itinerary some works have traveled before arriving in a museum, if any travelers have made a particular donation and also how the way of traveling has changed over the centuries.
Sunday 25 June - #HeritageMW
“Heritage” refers to cultural heritage, a legacy to be protected on a daily basis. It will be the day of celebration of the heritage of museums, a way to know how it is protected and how it is made accessible for visitors.
