The Licola coast will be connected to Chiaiano by a new metro line!

The project of a new metro line in Naples which aims to connect the Licola coast with the rest of the route.

The idea is that of join the Chiaiano metro with the Licola station of the Circumflegrea taking advantage of a piece of the old disused railway of the Alifana line.

The trait that should be used is the furrow of the Camaldoli riverbed and a part of the coast of the Giuglianese coast between the pine forest and the arable land.

It would certainly be a step forward for Neapolitan and Campania mobility, especially for the North Area of ​​Naples. territories of Giugliano, Qualiano, Villaricca, Calvizzano, Marano and Mugnano and it would be a great result obtained thanks to the commitment of the local committees.

The new subway lines

The new line should include a fork at the Zaccaria locality heading towards Lago Patria and Varcaturo in order to also connect the bathing activities in the area. Thus the area of ​​the Litorale Domizio would also be redeveloped.

Instead, in the stretch between Chiaiano, Mugnano and Marano station the old line of the Alifana railway would be exploited with some variations.

As regards the stretch between Marano and Calvizzano the new road via Raffaele Granata would be used and, for the stretch between Calvizzano Villaricca Qualiano and Giugliano, the carriageway of the central part of the external Circumvallazione or pylons would be used also connecting the Giugliano commercial park and the new hospital leader of ASL Napoli 2 Nord.
