Also this year the famous Lido Gallo of Varcaturo opens its doors in the evening to let us observe shooting stars during the Night of San Lorenzo.
Il August 10th, 2021 we will all be with our noses up to pick up these wonderful trails in the sky and observe celestial objects thanks to telescopes made available byNeapolitan Amateur Astronomers Union (UAN).
In fact, the UAN will make us make real trips in the sky allowing us to recognize the Constellations with the naked eye and making us observe through the telescope what the sky offers us, clouds permitting.
The program also includes a astronomical themed report and, of course, we will be able to use the evening to try to count as many shooting stars as possible.
The evening's program
- we will be able to hear a UAN report entitled "1, 100, 1000 and… more Terre!”Whose theme will be the Exoplanets: the first appointment is at 21.30 pm, will be repeated at 22.15 pm and, depending on the turnout, there will be a third appointment at 23.00 pm
- after each round with the relationship, there will be the passage to the telescope station to observe the sky
- there will also be a info point to receive information and dissemination material
Anti-Covid rules and mandatory Green Pass
To avoid the formation of gatherings, they will be group formats who in turn will access the location of the telescopes. It will be mandatory to wear the mask and, as per rules expected starting from 6 August, you will have to show the Green pass at the entrance to the Lido.
