In the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, the European Researchers' Night 2018 arrives for the first time with events on the history of the ancient city!
Friday 28 September 2018 there will be the European Researchers' Night coordinated by Frascati Scienza and to which the city of Pompei, in the province of Naples, will participate with two events very interesting.
The first time that the municipality, famous throughout the world for archaeological excavations, participates in this event and does so giving great importance to its many activities for the archaeological protection, the restorations and projects that study life in ancient Pompeii.
As said, the scheduled events will be two and will be held right inside the Archaeological Park, also giving the opportunity to visit one show and admire important finds, as well as letting us know ancient procedures.

The first event is titled "Textile culture in Pompeii”And will introduce us to the procedures and tools used by the ancient Romans to create and dye a yarn. An insight into the textile operating chain, therefore, and, thanks to a microscope, we can analyze an archaeological fabric on modern fragments.

The second appointment is entitled "Sciences applied to archeology”And you can visit the Moregine exhibition, discovering everything there is to know about the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. C. It will also be possible to admire the human plaster casts and the ancient fauna of the city with animal representations in the decorative apparatuses.
