500 paper airplanes invaded the Royal Palace for the original exhibition by the duo Blue and Joy entitled "Even the wind gets lost in Naples"

Since last July 3 they have "landed" well 500 paper airplanes a Royal Palace. It is a very original environmental installation created by the duo Blue and Joy and already presented at the Milan Triennial in December 2013, and which will invade, until the 31 August 2014, the Hall of the Doric Columns of the Royal Palace.

The duo Blue and Joy is composed of Daniele Sigalot (Rome, 1976) and Fabio La Fauci (Milan, 1977), Italian artists based in Berlin for more than six years. Their art installation paperplane, composed of 500 aluminum sculptures reproducing paper airplanes, is set up inside the former Carriage House and will surround one of the Doric columns in the center of the room with a whirlwind of colors and shapes. The airplanes, all colorful and giant, make up a circle and all have the point facing down, to stick in the floor that welcomes them.

The unique work is part of the exhibition Even the wind gets lost in Napleswhich translates into "Even the wind is lost in Naples", as if to suggest that even the wind lets itself be carried away by the beauty and enchantment of our city and makes the light paper airplanes “stick” on the first available surface, instead of making them arrive at their destination.

The artfully recreated environment by Blue and Joy it is in constant relationship with the architecture that hosts it, leading the visitor through an enveloping visual experience, in which color crosses the space and the form allows you to indulge in suggestions.
On the walls of the hall of the gods paperplanes you can also admire them other Blue and Joy works who are able to transform, like true alchemists, aluminum into paper and will allow you to caress their world of irony and lightness.

For example, a bizarre trilogy of letters will be exhibited, that is, three large letters (in aluminum) addressed to Destiny, the Future and the Art: a letter of dismissal for just cause, an apology and, finally, an appeal.
