In the wonderful Great Theater of Pompeii on July 26, 2022 at 21:00 there will be an appointment with Patti Smith, or the big one rock priestess, for an unforgettable concert.
The date in Pompeii will be the first of tour, the other three scheduled appointments will take place in Rome, Stresa and Cervia. The event is part of the project of Massimo Osanna, general director of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, whose idea is to "make concerts that can be part of the idea of classic".

Who is Patti Smith
Patricia Lee Smith, known to most simply as Patti, was born in Chicago on December 30, 1946. Always passionate about music, she became an American singer-songwriter, poet and artist, distinguishing herself in the world of proto-punk and the New Wave with the nickname "maudite priestess of rock".
The artist was included in the forty-seventh place in the ranking of the 100 best artists and in the eighty-third place in the list of the greatest singers. At the Archaeological Park of Pompeii he will perform along with his son Jackson Smith who will be on guitar, historical friend Tony Shanahan on bass, and Seb Rochford on drums, retracing all the most famous songs of his career.
