For the whole day dedicated to visiting Papa Francesco, public transport in Naples will undergo variations and limitations of routes.
On the occasion of the visit of Pope Francis in Naples, scheduled for Saturday 21 March 2015, the Municipality of Naples has prepared a specific one traffic device and a Anm transport plan, to ensure the movements of tourists and pilgrims in the utmost order and safety.
As for public transport, on the day of the pastoral visit the buses, trams and trolley buses of the ANM will be free with variations and limitations of ordinary routes.
The fruition of the metropolitan and funicular serviceinstead, it will provide for the purchase and validation of the regular ticket, at the usual merchants. In addition, daily celebratory tickets will also be available, valid exclusively for the day of 21 March.
Transport Anm
Public road transport, free until 24: 00, will undergo variations of the usual routes with a cadence of the races included between the 6 and the 10 minutes. The changes in the routes will also concern the ANM lines coming from the east and west and directed towards the city center.

As regards the celebratory card for Papa Francesco, it will be possible to buy it, until exhaustion, at the infopoint unicompania and the bus stations of: via Taddeo da Sessa, via Galileo Ferraris, Parking Brin, p.zale Tecchio, piazza Vittoria, Pianura, Bagnoli Dazio, piazza Salvatore di Giacomo, piazza Sannazzaro, Mergellina, p.zale Cardarelli, via Argine.
Metro Line 1 and Funicolari
The 1 metro line will be active, with a frequency of every 10 minutes, towards Garibaldi - Piscinola. The stops of Garibaldi, Toledo, Piscinola, Chiaiano and Dante will undergo a strengthening of security and surveillance services. For reasons of public order, moreover, 11:30 am - 14:00 am the Toledo stop will be closed. The second exits of Montecalvario, Montedonzelli and Rione Alto will not be accessible, except for that of Salvator Rosa.
Finally, they will be scheduled working hours also for the Funicular of Chiaia Centrale, Montesanto and Mergellina with frequent runs every 10 minutes.
