A bold, but also stupid, attempted robbery in Portici became the involuntary protagonist of a kind of action film, with lots of chases, off-road vehicles and even a cameo from a trolleybus.
Unfortunately for the bad guys, the script didn't follow the plot they had in mind.
What happened during the robbery
In the setting of tranquility Via Diaz of Portici, the curtain rises on a group of would-be robbers onboard a SUV 500X. Massimiliano N, an attentive citizen and member of the Facebook group “Portici Amore Mio”, became the unwitting narrator of this story.
The criminals had evidently decided that the SUV it was the indispensable fashion accessory for a theft at the post office. And so, armed with audacity and a vehicle definitely bulky, they kicked off their plan.
The escape and the accident with Trolleybus 254
But as in any good self-respecting action film, the intervention of an external element he twisted the plot. In an attempt to escape capture, the protagonists of the robbery decide to launch into a race against traffic on Via Cardano.
And here comes the Trolleybus 254, like an extra determined to steal the scene from the protagonists, proceeding with stoic regularity in the correct direction of travel. With no time for hesitation, the driver of the SUV attempts a daring maneuver that reveals itself a colossal mistake: the left front wheel decides to abandon the set, forcing our "heroes" to make a less glorious escape on foot.
The intervention of the police forces
The footlights move and the State Police takes center stage. Arrived at the scene of the incident, the officers they began investigations and launched a manhunt to put an end to this comedy of errors.
Even if the coup has failed, the search for the fugitives is anything but a foregone conclusion.
