The festival of ancient flavors 2019 in Gioia Sannitica, in the province of Caserta: scheduled tasting of traditional dishes, wine, beer and liqueurs!

A new and fantastic event is back with the Festival of Ancient Flavours which will take place from 12 to 18 August 2019 in Gioia Sannitica , a small town in the province of Caserta.

The event, now in its twenty-second year and organized by Pro Loco Gioiese, is among the most important in the province of Caserta and aims to introduce and offer tastings of the most delicious traditional local dishes.

In fact, during the seven days, guests will be able to taste delicious first courses such as pappardelle, tagliatelle, scialatielli and fusilli "with porcini mushrooms", gnocchi with mutton sauce , tagliolini with beans and pork rind, tagliatelle all'ortolana, spaghetti alla chitarra with sausage and porcini mushrooms, tagliatelle with provola and aubergines.

And then more soffritto, tripe, pork with peppers, bruschetta with tomato and porcini mushrooms, roasted aubergine, all seasoned with the award-winning oil from the Gioia hills and accompanied by excellent local wines and liqueurs.
