In the heart of the Campania region, precisely in Municipality of Castelfranco in Miscano (BN), an event is about to take place that celebrates one of the local culinary excellences. From the 14 at the 17 September 2023, under the auspices ofCastelfranchesi Pro Breeders Associationand Fortore Mountain Community and Municipality of Castelnuovo in Miscano, will take place 23rd Caciocavallo Festival, included in the project “Welcome to the Fortore – Francigena del Sud and Cammini d'Europa III° Edition” and dedicated to San Fedele.

La Caciocavallo Festival it is a real homage to caciocavallo from Castelfranco in Miscano, a product that represents a thriving culture and a rich gastronomic tradition. During the days of the event, which will take place inCovered Fair Area in Via Largario, visitors will have the opportunity to taste this delicious cheese directly from the main local producers, who will display their creations in the various stands. The menu of the festival includes dishes in which the caciocavallo will be combined with other typical local products, all prepared according to tradition.
Shows and other activities at the Caciocavallo Festival
In addition to tastings, the festival promises to involve participants with a series of cultural events and activities. It will be possible to immerse yourself in four days of celebrations, enriched by music and various entertainment, for a complete rediscovery of the tradition linked to cheese.
