Culinary itineraries and guided tours of the White Artichoke Festival in Pertosa 2018!
From the 4 6 May 2018 will host the Festival of Pertosa white artichoke, locality in the province of Salerno.
The event will make known and simultaneously enhance this excellent and rare variety of artichoke, grown exclusively in this area. Its features are the very light green color tending to silvery white, the resistance to low temperatures, the delicacy of the flavor and the large thornless inflorescences.
A product that is the example of local biodiversity and for this it has also been scientifically studied. The organizers wanted to associate the event to the feast of San Vittorio Martire and the proceeds will go to the Parish of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
The festival will offer not only the opportunity to make a culinary journey through the various stands, but also to visit the surrounding landscape beauties as the suggestive caves of Pertosa-Auletta and the Mida 01, a geo-speological multimedia museum.
