In the heart of Campania, precisely in the locality of Serino, we are about to celebrate an event deeply rooted in local culture: the 46th Serino PGI Chestnut Festival. This historic food and wine festival, the longest-running in the Irpinia area, returns to cheer up souls and palates since 13 at the 15 October 2023. The theme chosen for this year's edition, “Bread from the forest, a resource and treasure of peasant tradition”, celebrates not just a fruit, but a true treasure of the earth.

What do you eat at the festival

In the context of this historic festival, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in an authentic culinary experience, where the PGI chestnut, symbol of Serino, will be the undisputed protagonist. The menu of the festival highlights the local gastronomy, enhancing the peculiarities of this fruit which in 2018 received the prestigious IGP recognition.
