The Cherry Festival returns to Borgo di Castello in Gragnano with shows, music and many typical products!
From the 10 12 2016 June at Borgo di Castello, a Gragnano, Will host the fourth edition of the Cherry Festival, an event organized by the “Guardians of the Borgo di Castello” association and the Maria SS Assunta di Castello parish to enhance the village and the typical local products.
We will start from the square of the ancient railway, where visitors can park their cars and take the shuttles for free (both for the outward and return journeys) that will accompany them to the Valle dei Mulini where they can admire the ancient mills, located along the Vernotico stream, which for the occasion will be illuminated with plays of colored lights.
Later they will be accompanied to the Borgo Castello where, in the alleys and courtyards, an atmosphere of the past will be reconstructed: appearing in period clothing, scenes of daily life in the village, illustrations, photographic exhibitions with shots that tell the history of the village and for the occasion street artists, amateur groups and illustrious artists of the ancient Neapolitan song will perform.
In the square will be prepared the tasting point where you can taste the delicious cherries of Borgo di Castello, loved by adults and children and the typical local products, including the famous wines and the delicious Gragnano pasta. For the occasion, a tasty menu will be offered.

Also this year visitors will be offered a menu full of delicacies, only for the occasion it was decided to propose a single menu for € 10,00 which will include:
- First course (chosen from two first courses) with Pasta di Gragnano
- Second dish based on meats and dairy products (typical local products)
- Tripe tasting with beans
- Frying snacks (pizzette and montanare)
- Taste of cherries from Borgo Castello
- Cherry cake
- Gragnano wine or water (also available separately)
