Appointment with the ancient flavors to rediscover the life of the peasant world, in Tramonti (SA) with "La Contrada in Festa", on 6 and 7 August 2013

A dive into ancient traditions, immersed in the most ancient aromas and flavours… this is the event that takes place every year in Corsano , a hamlet of Tramonti (SA), where the fifth edition of La Contrada in Festa will be held on 6 and 7 August.

Among performances of folk songs, dances, and music, along with tastings of local products from the past, such as farri and beans with ricotta and honey, cured meats, and provola cheese, visitors can also take the opportunity to witness the centuries-old baking of whole-wheat bread and the making of fiordilatte cheese from the Lattari Mountains . Visitors will be led on a guided tour to discover ancient crafts, such as blacksmithing, basket weaving, straw weaving, baking, carpentering, and puppeteering.

All in the splendid Monti Lattari valley in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, tasting the typical wines of the coast and attending the "showcase of memories" , a moment of gratitude towards the values ​​of the past...
