Pizza, local dishes, dances, fireworks and much more with the festivals in Campania for the weekend!
With spring le festivals in Campania they become more frequent and also in the weekend of 1, 2 and 3 April 2016 there will be interesting and tasty appointments not to be missed.
First of all in Naples, in the typical village of Marechiaro, Will host the Local fish festival where you can eat freshly caught fresh fish and have fun with the music of some interesting groups. As every year, moreover, it starts again Feast of the Madonna delle Galline, a regular appointment to Pagani that always attracts many curious.
In Somma Vesuviana, one of the most famous festivals, the Saturday of Fires, will take us up to the top and witness the splendid spectacle of the fireworks.

Local fish festival at Borgo Marechiaro
At the Borgo di Marechiaro the delicious local fish festival with the possibility to eat freshly caught fish within a very tasty menu. Mass will be held first in the church of Santa Maria del Faro and, during the dinner, you will also be able to listen to the lives of some musical groups and dance together.

Feast of the Madonna delle Galline
Now a fixed appointment every year that attracts hundreds of visitors, the Feast of the Madonna delle Galline is made up of religious and civil moments. In addition to the traditional exchange of various types of birds, including chickens, there will be dancing to the sound of tammorre, castanets and local music and you will taste typical dishes like tagliolini, artichokes e tortano.

Saturday of Fires
One of the most famous traditional festivals of Campania and takes place in Somma Vesuviana between folklore and tradition. It takes place from Saturday in Albis, in the weekend following Easter until May 3rd. The fireworks are lit, a symbol of purifier and propitiatory, we dance and enjoy the local products. It is the beginning of the Mountain Festival and, in fact, all the Paranze are headed towards the highest part of Monte Somma (Punta del Nasone) and start a religious celebration following a steep path. The April 2 program includes:
- 9.00 am, Località Ciglio - Traditional blessing of the paranze al Ciglio
- 9.30 Hours, Locality Casamale - pilgrimage of the ass. Santa Maria a Castello towards the Sanctuary
- 11.00 Hours, Location Ciglio - Mass and fireworks
- 12.00 Hours, Castle Location - Mass and fireworks at twilight. Località Ciglio - Devotional bonfire and crossfire
- 20.30 Hours, Location Castello - Blessing of the paranze to the Sanctuary, fireworks show by Cav. Terracciano from Casalnuovo, ignition of the bonfires. Following, descent of the paranza to the Casamale, delivery of the Pertiche, grand finale in Piazzetta collegiata

Pizza in Vico
Great event dedicated to pizza that gathers i best pizza chefs to promote the excellence of Vico Equense. At the opening ceremony there will be a local godmother, then until late at night the ovens will be open and there will be enjoyed with tastings of excellent pizza. They will participate many local pizzerias and the most genuine and healthy loali products such as tomatoes, oil, mozzarella and other dairy products will be enhanced.
