During Tg1 at 13.30 pm, Amadeus announced the list of the first 27 singers competing live. To them the three young people will be added who will finish on the podium in the final of Sanremo young which will be held on December 19th and will be broadcast live on RaiUno.
Let's see who the participants are, the hosts and what we know about them.
The preview of the scenography
Amadeus also revealed the monumental scenography of the Ariston Theatre, created for the fifth consecutive year by architects Gaetano Castelli and his daughter Chiara. As always, we will witness a spectacular play of lights and volumes!
The co-hosts of the 2024 edition
A few days ago they were announced the co-hosts of the five evenings of the Festival:
- on February 6th the honor of supporting Amadeus will fall to Marco Mengoni,
- on February 7th in Giorgia,
- on the 8th to the comedian Teresa Mannino
- On Friday 9 February Lorella Cuccarini will co-present the covers evening,
- the final will be hosted by Fiorello
In one of the gags of his program "Viva RaiDue", Fiorello implied that he will be alone on the Ariston stage on February 10th.

The list of competing singers
Between names almost unknown to the general public and sensational returns, here are the names of the first 27 singers competing, in the order pronounced by Amadeus.
Fiorella Mannoia
Singer-songwriter who needs no introduction: she is the woman who has won the most Tenco plaques to date, is an Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, as well as an actress, presenter and artist involved in social work.
It's his sixth participation in the competition at the Festival, after having won the Critics' Award twice and having been invited as a super guest. Her best placing dates back to her last appearance: in 2017 she came second with “Che sia benedetta”.
Geolier
Born in 2000, he is a rap-trap artist of the new Neapolitan scene. He has numerous large-caliber collaborations under his belt such as:

His latest album “The courage of children” is first in the ranking of the most listened to albums of the year in Italy on Spotify and has announced a concert in Naples on June 22nd. This is his first participation in Sanremo.
Dargen D'Amico
Singer-songwriter, rapper and this year too judge of X-Factor, D'Amico was at the Festival only once: in 2022 he presented “Come si balla”, which became the hit of the following summer.
Emma Brown
The singer-songwriter and actress from Salento is at his fourth Sanrem Festivalor. He returns after winning the 2012 edition and co-led the 2015 one. He also participated, with not too much luck, in theEurovision Song Contest of 2012 and it was judge of Amici and X-Factor.
Emma puts her unmistakable scratched voice at the service of charity events in favor of women's emancipation and cancer prevention. The last participation dates back to 2022 with "Every time it's like this".
Fred DePalma
His career started on stage Turin hip-hop from the early 2000s, with the group Royal Rhymes. However, she achieved success as a soloist in 2019 with the highly danced single "Once again”, feat. Ana Mena.
Angelina Mango
Twenty-two years old daughter of the sublime singer-songwriter Pino Mango and the former soloist of Matia Bazar Laura Valente, came second in the talent show “Amici” in 2022. It is still in heavy rotation on the radio and his song “Che t'o dico a fa'”, released last October, was highly clicked on streaming platforms.
The Sad
Milanese emo-punk trio born in 2020 is formed from:

Refined singer-songwriter of origins tarantine, took his first artistic steps in the early XNUMXs. He becomes known to the general public with second place in the Youth category at Sanremo 2014, but above all with the songs, performed live in different cities, at the end of the episodes of "Che tempo che fa" of the same year.
To his third Participation, in 2020 he won with “Make noise”, which however she could not perform at the Eurovision Song Contest of the same year, made in a reduced form due to the pandemic. Many will remember the emotional performance of the song in a completely deserted Verona Arena.
The Three
Roman rapper twenty-five year old with an irresistible flow, boasts a Platinum record for the album “Ali” and several million views and streaming. To listen to the song “Il tuo nome” from 2019.
Francesco Renga and Nek
Two big names, two great voices, two artistic projects that merge into one. Ringa, former member of Timoria, he has already won the Festival as a soloist in 2005 with the evergreen “Angelo”, but other participations have still left their mark, such as the intense “La tua beauty” and “Tracce di te”.
Filippo Neviani, aka Has, he took part in Sanremo for the first time in 1993 with the controversial “In te”, but his most remembered songs are “Laura non c'è” from 1997 and “Fatti Avanti Amore” from 2015.
Saint John
Just 17 years, in 2020 he won the "Singing" category of the "Amici" talent show. Her singles “Tutta la notte”, “Lady” and “Malibu” are very popular among young people. In 2022 he will participate in Sanremo with “Butterflies”.
Alfa
One more rapper in the race: he is the twenty-three year old from Genoa Andrea De Filippi, aka Alfa. The song “Bellissimissima” is by him, very listened to throughout last summer.
The Flight
Well-known vocal trio, born from the show “Ti lascio una canzone” and became an international phenomenon. Inspired by the artistic experience of the "Three Tenors" Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras, they bring the art of Italian “bel canto”. all over the world. They won the Sanremo Festival in 2015 with “Grande amore”, finishing third with the same song at the ESC in Vienna. The last participation was in 2019 with "Musica che resta".
Alessandra Amoroso
Artist salent with a characteristic voice and a meteoric career. In 2009 he won the talent show “Amici” and since then he has released 9 albums, 2 of which live, wins countless awards and FIMI certifications and conquers an international audience of very loyal fans. It will be his racing debut in Sanremo.
Gazelles
Roman indie pop singer-songwriter, among his most listened to songs are “Polynesia” and “Destri”, from 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Negroamaro
Salento once again protagonist with an iconic group from Lecce. From the unforgettable and intense “While everything flows” by Sanremo 2005, which earned them the Press Room Award, they never returned to the competition. In the meantime, they overcame health problems and disagreements together, after an incredible career full of successes.
irama
Wins the 2018 edition of “Amici”, but in reality he had already been to Sanremo in the Youth category two years earlier. After his last participation in 2022 with the intense “Ovunque ordini” and after having recorded an album with Rkomi last summer, he returns to Sanremo for the fourth time.
Rose Villain
More hip hop, but this time female. Rose Villain comes from Milan, has collaborated with artists such as:

The latest one is for “Strawberries” by Achille Lauro, double platinum. She duetted with Rosa Chemical in the last edition of the Festival, on the covers evening.
Mahmood
He is the first singer to have scored the perfect double, that is wins on two participations: the first alone in 2019 with “Soldi”, the second in 2022 (paired with Blanco) with “Brividi”, which were followed second place at ESC of Tel Aviv of 2019 and the sixth place at Turin 2022. Meanwhile, an incredible number of hits written for himself and other artists, platinum discs and Italian and international recognitions.
Loredana Bertè
What to say about this monument of Italian music? A multifaceted artist who has been able to interpret the times she has lived through, from the seventies to today, very often anticipating fashions and trends. Blue hair is his current trademark, who knows if he will propose it again in the next Sanremo look.
He will be at the Festival for the twelfth time, after making his debut in 1986 with the song “Re” by Mango and the controversial performance with a false belly.
The Kolors
They will celebrate theirs 15 years of career introducing yourself for the second time competing after Sanremo 2018 with “Frida”. They too gain notoriety thanks to it to the victory of “Amici” in 2015; after the first single "Everytime", which became very famous, they released four albums and won numerous awards.

Big Mama
Young singer of origins Avellino, begins his career in Milan in 2019. With its enthralling flow it launches messages on the body positivity and reinterprets “No one can judge me” by Caterina Caselli. TO Sanremo of this year joined Elodie in the duet evening singing “American woman” by Lenny Kravitz.
Ghali
Thirty-year-old rapper Milanese from his complicated adolescence, which he recounted in his songs, he achieved his share of success thanks to the songs "Ninna nanna" and "Cara Italia" from 2018. He has his own record company and will go on stage at the Ariston for the first time.
Annalisa
He started out by conquering second place in the 2010 edition of “Amici”. After last summer's hat-trick – “Bellissima” (to date FIMI-certified Quadruple Platinum), “Mon Amour” (Quadruple Platinum) and “Ragazza sola” (Gold) – Annalisa will arrive at the Festival for the sixth time and with the great affection of public.
Mr Rain
The singer-songwriter who "only writes when it rains" returns to Sanremo for the second time, after the third position conquered during the last edition. His “Supereroi” was a huge success, sung by children everywhere and used for the most disparate occasions.
Maninni
Songwriter Bari, for the "melodic pop" share that never wanes. His song “Mille porte” takes him there to the final of Sanremo Giovani 2023. This is her debut among the big names.
Riches and Poors
The history of Italian music also passes through the group of Riches and Poors, born in GenoVa as a quartet in 1967. It became a trio in 1981 following the abandonment of Marina Occhiena, and Franco Gatti, "the mustache", passed away in 2022.
Angela Brambati and Angelo Sotgiu therefore present themselves at Sanremo 2024, as a duo. It will be the thirteenth participation, after winning in 1985 with “Se m'innamoro”; the last presence in the race dates back to 1992.

During the Sanremo Giovani final we will know the names of the three singers/groups who will complete the lineup competing for Sanremo 2024.
