With the Scampia Trip Tour you will discover the other side of the Naples neighborhood to show its beauties!
Thanks to the project "Scampia Trip Tour“, Conceived by the Municipality of Naples, will be organized guided tours in the Scampia district.
The initiative will promote the other side of the neighborhood, known in the crime news for the Camorra feuds and drug dealing. Through various stages, tourists for the first time will visit a peripheral and unusual site among the tourist routes and will get to know some places rich in humanity and civil commitment.
Will be shown a growing neighborhood and breaking with crime thanks to the work of associations, institutions and volunteers who in collaboration with the residents themselves have realized sports, social, welfare and recreational facilities.
Just think of the Gianni Maddaloni gym, the Kikù restaurant, born from the fusion between the Roma and Italian communities, the children's community of Officine di Corona and Sanzone.
An anticamorra itinerary, to discovery of the beauties and stories of the area without stereotypes, told by the promoters Sanzone and Corona, together with other guys in the neighborhood who will testify their experiences.
The stages of the tour
We will start from Sails, tower blocks intended for residential use and then turned into crumbling structures that are being demolished. We will then move on toWorkshop of the "Gelsomina Verde" cultures, community housing for minors, theater workshop and school of popular music. Then we will visit the social center headquarters of the Gridas association, Awakening Group from Sleep.
The tour will end in Star Judo Club gym of the master Gianni Maddaloni, father of Pino, Olympic champion of judo and in the Arci Scampia football school, led by Antonio Piccolo.
