For young people, interesting initiatives and courses to integrate into the EU during the European Youth Week in Naples.

From the 2 5 May 2017 also the city of Napoli will participate in the European Youth Week, an initiative wanted by the European Commission for stimulate the participation of young people in the social, civic and political life of the EU. In these days, in different European cities, events will be organized for young citizens.

The Municipality of Naples, thanks to the collaboration with the youth organizations of the territory and the combined action with the Youth Department, the CEICC - Europe Direct, has organized some thematic events with the aim of involving a large number of young people on the themes of this 8 edition.

The themes

The main themes will be:

  • the European Solidarity Corps, a new European Union initiative that offers job and volunteer opportunities
  • the opportunities offered by the Erasmus + program
  • participation in the formulation of youth policies.

Info Days, Open Space, Open Class and Open Space Technology will be organized for the young people of the city. On May 2nd at 10:30 am the Councilor for Youth, Alessandra Clemente, will present the complete program of the initiative.

2st May

  • 10.30: CEICC Europe Direct, press conference to present the initiative
  • 14.00: CEICC Europe Direct, the Civil Solidarity Corps: information desk on the new EU initiative

3st May

  • 10.00: CEICC Europe Direct, InfoDay "Leave p (e) r return", the opportunities offered by Eramsus +
  • 15.00: Palazzo San Giacomo: InfoDay "Training and careers in the EU": opportunities for undergraduates and graduates

4st May

  • 10.00: Prince of Naples Gallery, European Youth Open Space: orientation for young students
  • 14.30 pm: CEICC Europe Direct, “Open Class” Italian course: an open dialogue between young people from around the world

5st May

  • 10.00: Palazzo San Giacomo: Open Space Technology: the youth policies of the city
  • 16.00: Palazzo San Giacomo: discussion of the final report with the Councilor Alessandra Clemente and the president of the Youth Commission of the City Council Claudio Cecere
