Vintage carriages, mandolins and beautiful costumes will be the protagonists of a special parade on the Lungomare Caracciolo!
The next 29 May 2016, Lungomare Caracciolo host "A walk from king", the extraordinary parade of historical carriages dating back to '700 and Neapolitan 800.
The initiative, organized by the associations "The seats of Naples" and "the Workshop of Ideas", will immerse the public partenopeo between the beauties of Naples Bourbon thanks to parade of beautiful vintage carriages, original vintage horse-drawn carriages and coupes with figures in historical costumes from the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries from the various Provinces of the Kingdom of Naples and the Two Sicilies.
There will be the melody played by the characteristic mandolins and the exhibition of colorful flag wavers. The big eighteenth and nineteenth century Neapolitan music it will be the protagonist with the exclusive collaboration of the “Accademia Reale”, “Musica Libera”, “I Figlioli di S.Maria di Loreto” and “Cappella Corale Giubileo” associations. The bands will play Mastro Masiello Mandolin and Folk Vibratae Mundi, all in typical eighteenth century costume

The event, moreover, is inserted as a conclusive event of the May of the 2016 Monuments that this year will be dedicated to King Charles of Bourbon, on the occasion of his 300th birthday.
Memorial Procession
In the afternoon there will be a Grand Memorial Historical Procession ofentry into Naples of Carlo of Bourbon in May 1734. The stages will be:
from Piazza Enrico De Nicola; through Porta Capuana and then Via Dei Tribunali, Piazza San Gaetano, Via Nilo; Largo Corpo di Napoli; Via San Biagio dei Librai; Piazza San Domenico Maggiore; Via Benedetto Croce; Piazza del Gesù Nuovo; Via Toledo e Piazza Plebiscito. Here at 21.00pm there will be a big one popular party with music, dance and costume parades.
