Security in Naples: 70 more policemen arriving and video surveillance strengthened

In recent months, we are seeing an intensification the crime rate a Napoli with numerous cases of robberies, muggings and assaults and the mayor of Naples presented one request to the Government to have support to protect the safety of citizens and tourists.

Thanks to the agreement with the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese, 70 new men from the State Police will arrive in the city starting next week, at the latest by early July, and will remain in permanent way. Moreover, Manfredi always declares, he is also thinking of obtaining gods reinforcements for the summer and on this issue it seems that reassurances have been received from the Government.

In recent months, new forces have already arrived

As the Minister Lamorgese points out, in the month of February they are 40 new units have already arrived in Naples of Police and to these are added the 70 that will arrive shortly, to tackle the safety problems in the city.

They are "new and fresh forces" and all will enter the organic endowment of Naples, they will not be temporary.

Video surveillance intensifies: more cameras

As the mayor comments, progress will also be made with regard to video surveillance because a enlargement plan with new forces and cameras. The plan was prepared by the Police Headquarters and the Municipality gives its full support also to proceed with the maintenance existing cameras.

Video surveillance will be intensified especially in some neighborhoods where it is lacking.
