Summer Solstice in Pompeii: we observe the Sun rise between the excavations

For June 21 2021, the day of Summer solstice, when the sun reaches the highest point in the sky, Pompeii Archaeological Park has organized a very special event: you can in fact observe the sun rise inside the excavations.
It will be a truly evocative and magical experience, the rays will illuminate the streets, in particular Via delle Terme, Via di Nola and Via dell'Abbondanza, reflecting on the architecture that survived the eruption of 79 AD
The event is organized by the Scabec Campania Region and is part of the initiatives for Campania By Night summer 2021.
How to participate
The appointment to attend the event Summer Solstice in Pompeii is set for June 21, 2021 at 04:45. This initiative is reserved for a maximum of 99 spectators, for these reasons booking is mandatory and the ticket must be purchased on the official website of Ticketone or at the ticket offices of the site.
The entrance is to the excavations of Upper Marina Gate and the astronomical phenomenon will be observed along via delle Terme at hours 05:50. There will be professors and specialists of the University of Campania which will provide you with all the useful scientific information.
