On the notes of Gustav Mahler

The new 2020/2021 season will be inaugurated by an exciting concert to be held on Sunday 27 September 2020 at 19:00.

The teacher Juraj Valčuha he will lead the Orchestra of the San Carlo Theater on the notes of the first symphonic work of the great Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler, Or the Symphony n.1 in D major "Titano".

The great Bohemian artist devoted himself to the composition of Symphony n.1 per about six anni, before publishing the final work. During these years Mahler was influenced by Wagner's music and Brahmsian classicism.

The symphony divides in four stages, the first moment opens with a slow rhythm, the second is based on the joke, the third movement, perhaps the best known, is a grotesque parody of a funeral march, while the last is more dramatic and ends in the form of sonata.
